Harry Potter Movies To Get Prequel Trilogy

Through 7 books and 8 movies we have followed the story of Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived, and his trials of balancing school, sports and facing off against the deadliest wizard in the world who has a bit of a personal vendetta against him. At the end of it though, the series concluded pretty well and the world smiled, knowing that a good story had been told and we got to see how it ended. The biggest problem with the ending of a good story is that you don’t get to see more of it. You can’t just tack on a bit of fluff on the end to make more money or try keep it going for as long as possible. That’s how you kill a good franchise. A lot of people have been speculating about the idea of a Marauders movie series featuring the adventures of James Potter and his friends. Instead, J.K. Rowling has decided to use her existing companion book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as the inspiration for a new trilogy of movies set in the world of Harry Potter.

Set in the 1920s in New York, Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, is one of the worlds leading magizoologists. He travels the world to discover and document new and different magical creatures. With other actors like Colin Farrel and Jon Voight, the movies are setting themselves up to be just as magical as the rest of the series was. The filming started in August this year under the direction of David Yates, the same man who brought us the last 4 films in the Harry Potter series, and the film is expected to be released on 18 November next year.
